Advertising
Our titles reach people who live in the town, looking for local news, events and the practical information they need that week. Advertising is sold title by title, so a business pays only for the town it serves.
What we offer
- Sponsored content. An article about your business, event or opening, written for you and published on the title, clearly labeled "Sponsored Content" in line with Federal Trade Commission guidance, and kept online permanently.
- Business directory listings. A page for your business on the title's directory with your details, hours, photographs, website and social links.
- Newsletter sponsorship. A named sponsor slot in the title's morning email.
- Event promotion. A listing in the title's What's On pages and the weekend roundup.
How to book
Email the title directly through its Advertise page, or email hello@southernlocalmedia.com with the town and what you have in mind. We reply with what is available and a quote. Payment is by card or PayPal and work is published before it is invoiced.
Community organizations
Schools, churches, nonprofits, clubs and public bodies can send news, event notices and photographs to any title free of charge. That is not advertising and never will be.
Sponsored content policy
Sponsored articles are marked "Sponsored Content" above the headline and "Paid for by" the advertiser in the byline, on the article, on every card that links to it and in the newsletter. Sponsored articles never appear in a title's lead story position and are never presented as the newsroom's own reporting. We do not use the words "Promoted" or "Presented by" for advertiser-written material.
Media kit
Audience figures and rates for any title are available on request by email.
